Our 1st Annual Sussex County Long Drive Championship competition attracted more than 200 competitors to qualifying events held every Friday and Saturday since July at the Black Bear Golf Club to identify the finalists. On Friday, September 3rd, the top ten men and women came together to determine who would be crowned the 1st Annual Sussex County Long Drive Champions. Below is a short recap video from this year’s event.
Our congratulations go out to women’s champion, Dawn Carley for her drive of 253 yards and men’s champion, Dan Sauter driving a distance of 323 yards. We appreciate everyone that came out and participated, and we’re looking forward to next year’s competition!

I love watching long drive contests. It is amazing how far some people can hit a golf ball! I mean, I can’t possibly hit a golf ball 323 yards on an average day. Maybe on a good day.
