Restaurant Latour Scores Highest Possible Zagat Ranking
According to the new 2011/12 Zagat Restaurant Survey, Restaurant Latour at Crystal Springs Resort achieved stellar ratings by scoring in the highest possible ranking across all categories. With a 27 in food, 26 in décor and 27 in service, Latour achieved the top ‘excellent to perfection’ distinction, by scoring within the top 5 points of the scale in all categories. Note, this survey covered 1,050 restaurants rated and reviewed by nearly 7,000 New Jersey diners.
The Zagat accolades continue with an exceptional narrative including “ …this ‘top table’ showcases the chef’s ‘incredible’ New American cuisine, prepared from locally sourced ingredients and complemented by an ‘amazing’, 7,000-label wine list; ‘white-glove’ service and an ‘unhurried’ pace enhance the ‘extraordinary’ mood…”
Long Drive Championship
Our 1st Annual Sussex County Long Drive Championship competition attracted more than 200 competitors to qualifying events held every Friday and Saturday since July at the Black Bear Golf Club to identify the finalists. On Friday, September 3rd, the top ten men and women came together to determine who would be crowned the 1st Annual Sussex County Long Drive Champions. Below is a short recap video from this year’s event.
Our congratulations go out to women’s champion, Dawn Carley for her drive of 253 yards and men’s champion, Dan Sauter driving a distance of 323 yards. We appreciate everyone that came out and participated, and we’re looking forward to next year’s competition!

We hope you are all enjoying this wintry surprise this morning as much as us! We are especially psyched to hit the slopes this weekend!!
We have been super busy getting ready for Valentine’s Day at the Resort and lots of new photo shoots too! We recently shot our IT Director in our 72,000 bottle Wine Cellar for an upcoming editorial in Biz Tech Magazine which should be an awesome article! We also just took some great new food shots from Chef Michael Weisshaupt of Restaurant Latour! Check em out below – but don’t blame us if you get hungry!
